Using ipranges for allow or deny in IIS IP Address and Domain Restrictions (using network prefixes)

While it might not be obvious how to assign a iprange as an Allow (or Deny) entry in IIS, it is simple to do.
Simply enter the prefix instead of the netmask in the field for “Mask or Prefix”

Example of how to allow the 16 bit local ip block 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255
